Kayak Fishing at Salt Run
Destination: Salt Run, St. Augustine, FL

Directions: Salt Run is located off A1A in St. Augustine south of the Bridge of Lions.

Description: Salt Run is the body of water between Anastasia Island and Conch Island, south of the St. Augustine Inlet. The east bank is mostly flats with grass and oyster bed structure. The west bank is populated with docks and a jetty just south of the marina. Water depths get to 15-20' out in the center. Salt Run is primarily known for its trout fishing, although reds and flounder also are caught.

Difficulty: Easy. The entire area is a no wake zone.

Closest Bait&Tackle Shop: Coastal Outdoor Center and Avid Angler.

Launches: The Lighthouse Boat Ramp (L1) is the launch point for Salt Run. There is plenty of parking, facilities, and a resteraunt.
