Snook,Redfish,Black Drum,Croakers,etc (09-07-19)

Post by Mudfish » Mon Sep 09, 2019 8:32 pm

I launched around 10:00 AM on Saturday. Awesome weather and conditions, but only a few vehicles in the parking lot which was surprising. As I dragged my kayak into the water, numerous small shrimp were jumping all around. Lots of activity and a busy day of catching a mixed bag of Snook, Redfish, Black Drum, Croakers, Mangrove Snapper, etc. The first fish I caught was a small, but scrappy Snook that hit a Spook Jr. Snook are becoming very common in our area. I catch them frequently. Throughout the day I used a variety of lures and also some fresh dead shrimp. With the shrimp I caught a dozen Black Drum, several decent Croakers, and small Mangrove Snapper, Sheepshead, etc.

I thought these were fishing reports what’s the point of posting if you’re not willing to share with your fishing

The point is you are supposed to get out there an find them like Mudfish has by fishing hard for many years. If we all posted where we caught everything, or places would be swamped with people. You won't find many seasoned anglers giving up their sweet spots.

There are also sections on this forum that lists areas to launch and fish. The rest is up to the anglers
