Good tides the other night for one of my night spots, along with no wind and I actually had the night off so decided to check out the bite.
Lots of fish crashing but not biting my flies (clousers) a lot. I did mange 5 trout (4 over 16") and one Jack in an hour and a half. It was a bit frustrating casting in to boiling fish and not hooking up too often. Brought a few home for dinner after risking my life chumming the water by bleeding them out while wading. ( do store them in a back pack rather than on a stringer though) The taste is much better when you bleed them.

Be careful I saw a fin pop up very close to shore on Saturday and it wasn't a red fish for sure ....( Close to shore meaning 1 ft. of water).

That report was from a year ago. I haven't got out much this fall but went the other night and not a fish, nothing hitting the surface at all. That's a bit unusual for this time of year. Then again, weather has been a bit different lately too. Or, I just hit a bad night.

I got out last week for a couple of hours at night and the trout were hitting well in addition to some big blues
