Can't see it but I also have a speaker. I can play pandora while fishing. Next thing I will have is a small battery in the hatch and run a marine USB plug to keep the phone charged and add deck lights for night fishing and a fish finder. Kaiyas ready to go fishing.

Took about 12 pounds of weights, painted them black and made my own anchor.

The stake out pole is an old boat hook that's end tore off. I painted to match and added the rings. The stake out pole allows me to push it into the mud and the attach a line to my anchor trolley. The pole extends out to about 15 feet but doubt I will ever need that much but it also makes for a good push pole.

Added holders for the paddle and sake out pole. Next thing is to actually get a kayak paddle. The first time I put the holders on the bungee cord stripped out on a fishing trip. Yak Gear not only replaced it but also sent two paddle holders.

Haven't added the marine port yet, just an extra battery for the cell phone. Still want to swing by to take a look at how you have it all set up before I add those but yes some lights will be good. Maybe some underwater fish lights for some night fishing.

And the pimping goes on. Thanks to a visit to Jerrys for some ideas I had today off and spent it cleaning the garage and adding a few new things. I now have a 12 volt plug for my kayak that will allow me to keep my phone charged and play Pandora then entire trip (low of course to keep the music to myself and not to disturb others. The case is a water proof case to protect the phone that velcro's to the kayak. Next project is deck lights:)

Made a work bench for the kayak. I have not locked down the best way to secure it but right now using small bungee it locks down pretty good. I now have quick access to my tools. The cup hold is a temporary fixture until I get a fish finder to place there instead.

Ron, you are going to have that thing so rigged that you will never want to part with it. By the way, I was able to find The Vault for the Jambox. Got it in the mail couple days ago. I was surprised how the sound was clear. Thanks for the tip.

Just researching and found this thread. Question: with this outfit and 2 adults (200lbs ave), is the 40lbs thrust trolling motor enough? say Guana or ICW.

Thanks

I have a regular 3 person canoe and plan of rigging it with "Watersnake Venom SWET54-42 Trolling Motor" which I found out in this forum. Thanks

Just bought an Ambush and need to add some more comfortable seats. Which ones have you been using. Noticed the padded back and seat. what is the brand of those?

Hey mike, I picked up a used crack and dawn seat. It's ok but based on how much you want to spend there are better ones. What year is your ambush? You pretty much can tell by if it has the fully enclosed plastic second seat or the second seat on a sliding rail?

It is like the one in the beginning of this thread. I also like the changing out for the access hatches that were placed

That's what I figured. You can contact the company and they do have the new mode seat that I am using now for around $140 if you decide to spend the extra money. It's a way better seat then the original and gives you tons of more room.
