First time I have been back on the site in quite a while. I was kayak bass fishing this morning and a friend and I were discussing taking a trip south to fish for peacock bass. If you don't mind sharing, what general area in South Florida were you fishing?

Thanks,

John A.

Ida lake, use live bait and plugs. Both work well.
However, I would use live bait if you want to catch clown knife as well.
If you want to catch just peacock, you can fish any channel, they are everywhere there. I often fish in new area, so I usually come to a local bait shop and ask what is going on around, what it hot now and where to go. Most of the time they give you some guidance.
