After many years of being on the website, I have posted many fishing reports. Guess after a while you tend to think they are the same old thing each time

For the past several years, I tend to only post a trip report when there is something special or out of the norm. I probably only post one report for every 6-8 trips.
Think one of the reasons why some folks don't post is due to the fact that once a place is reported, there is a tendency for a "crowd" to start frequenting that particular place shown in the post. I have seen where due to reports, that becomes the new 'place to go" for kayakers AND boaters. When Clark starts posting picture of reds on Simpsons or Crusher posts pictures of big trout on Guana, those places have much more traffic than normal.
Don't think everyone realizes just how many "lurkers" are out there looking for places to fish. I have been told by many non-kayak fishermen that they love to go to our website. They say that we are far more willing to share info than on other fishing websites. Not saying that sharing is good or bad. The fact remains that folks know where to go to get info.
Not posting isn't hiding your secret spot. Once you get to a location (i.e Guana, Simpsons, Browns) you still need to find the spot where the fishing are hiding. Now with tournament season starting, there is a tendency to see even fewer posts.
Inspite of all the above, I agree with Clark that more people need to take the time to post more fishing reports. I enjoy reading about their day on the water as well as their catch of the day
