Dreary Gray Day, but caught some fish

I have had a really bad cough and cold for six weeks, and have not done much of anything fun, but today I got back out on the water. It was a gray chilly day, but I caught some fish and had a great time. And I didn't even have to grow a lucky beard. The trout was caught on a Slayer paddletail, and the reds were caught on mullet chunks.

Since you said you had a cold for the last 6 weeks, and I have nursed one from North Carolina for the past 4 weeks, I ALSO WONDERED ABOUT THE SHORTS AND NO RAINPROOF CLOTHING!!

Whatever, you know better than us how you feel and what to wear....LOL!!

Nice fish for feeling crappy, I was in a jacket all day but also shorts like you Clark. That respiratory infection going around is nasty. A lot of folks have had it for weeks. Hopefully some of the sun this week will burn it out of you.

Thanks guys. The weather was chillier than I thought it was going to be, but it was not too bad. I wore my boots and thick wool socks. I had a warm windbreaker that I put on after cooling down from paddling and throwing the cast net. I also tried to fish areas that were "out of the wind". And, although I am tired of the cough and cold, when I compare it to the health issues that some people deal with, my cough is really only an inconvenience.
