904 tarpon

Post by jakeb8s » Tue Jan 05, 2016 10:26 am

This was the first fish I caught on my first custom built rod. I just started using MHX rod blanks... I have finally found the perfect rod. Does anyone else know anything about them!?

What a nice poon for your first fish on your custom rod! Did you go with the Microwave guides?

Thanks, and yes! I swear I can cast further, quicker, and straighter. They really do make a big differene.

How did it taste (rod)? Joking. Just a suggestion : Please post a close up pic of the rod so we can appreciate how it looks like etc. Thanks
In case you haven’t noticed, there really are some enormous and enormously fragile egos in fishing. I can tell you that having a big ego is like owning one of those huge dogs that crap on the floor and eat the couch if they don’t get constant attention.

Nice work, from shore? I have built two on the L844. Had them long enough to trust the quality and the price is fine. Not my favorite action or feel though, probably won't use them again too soon for my own builds.

MHX makes a great rod blank. I have one myself. It's taken a lot of lives.

There are pockets of Tarpon that are here year round. Nice looking setup.
