First Catches in Florida - SML 10/28

Post by blackjack » Mon Oct 31, 2011 7:48 pm

Six mile landing last Friday morning. Caught my first fish since moving to Jax. Got a little 13'' black drum to start the day. Next I pulled in a 21" red. That was the highlight of the trip! Caught about 6 more small reds and then finished with another 13" black drum. Cant wait to get out there one more time this week... Ill post up some pics this evening if I can.

Congrats on your "first Florida fish" and that looks like a fun day down there!!

That pretty 9 spot redfish would have been worth some $$$ in the Times-Union Redfish Roundup...a "most spots" tourney that is run annually in JAX!!

Congrats....and here's to many more!! :thumbright:

Hey bud, very nice reds and thanks again for the pics. Glad to see you had success down there, not allways the easiest place to find it.
They close it down in a week for duck season until 2/11/12. TL, C.

I caught my first red at Guana after moving here. The spots on that red are sweet!
