A lot of anglers like to yak about football, racing, golf, and other favorite sports when they ain't catching - do it here.

Rangefinding binoculars vs separate units

Post by Chapmanm845 » Wed Oct 28, 2020 2:04 am

presently have Swarovski 10x42 SLC binoculars and the Swarovski Laser Guide Rangefinder. They both have served me well, but I'm intrigued by the Swarovski 10x42 EL Range binoculars. The idea of having to carry just one piece of equipment certainly is attractive. My concerns are the possibility of compromises in the functionality vs separate units as well as the technology of rangefinders advancing more quickly than binoculars, thus rendering the whole thing obsolete.

I'd appreciate any opinions, especially from those that have made the switch.

Thanks,
Gloria R. Bloomberg
