I had to take a little time to reflect on this.
Not happy.

1. Not one post have I seen about it in this kayak form.
2. I am so happy that I got to attend and do my best.
3. If I am not mistaken, over $11,000 was raised! (not sure). I hope this is true.
4. That was my first time at a "captian's meeting." I had no idea what to expect.
What i saw was a bunch of arrogent a-holes that could not shut up about themselves long enough to listen to the moderator. Everyone of you were there for the prize you could get. F the cause! Shame on you all!
5. If this is what I can expect from fishing for a cause, Count me out. You guys were dicks!

I’ve never heard of it. It seems that this site as well as “Floridasportsman” website has completely died. I’m not sure where everyone post anymore....maybe Facebook. It’s too bad that tournament was not a good experience for you. At least it raised money for a good cause. You can’t control other people’s attitudes so just stay true to yourself and you’ll sleep good at night.

$10,072 raised. Have fished every one. This was the third event. For a fantastic cause. Worth the drive to Jax to participate in this tournament. Food Friday and Saturday is always fantastic! Will keep making the trips for this one!

Fishound, I'm very sorry that you had a bad experience. I am a co-director of this tournament and I hate to see anything bad about it. We work very hard to put on a good show and to raise money for a good cause. Without our participants it doesn't matter what we do. I'm not sure what happened while you were there but I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it. I hope you will come again next year and give us another chance. Everything we do is for our beneficiary so they can help women going through cancer. Thank you for coming out.
