Don't know how bad it will get there, but batten down the hatches and hold on, good luck, all of my Jacksonville friends will be in my thoughts and prayers during the storm.

Dogyak and Ricky......Thanks for the well wishes and hopefully we'll be OK down here!!
This one is different and the only time I considered leaving JAX, but guess now that I am "riding it out"...too late to drive to Charlotte or Burlington, especially considering the TRAFFIC tomorrow up that way and also on I-95 and I-26 and I-77.......

Wishing everyone down here is safe and smart on this one!!

It is 10:20 Wed night and the weather channel said we could have a storm surge of 8 to12 feet along the beaches. I hope all you guys like Jerry who live close are going to be gone.

Leaving tomorrow. Being 800 yards from the beach and two large Live Oak trees hanging over my house isn't looking good. Everyone be safe out there!

Fishing sounds good. Culinary school out till Monday. Hopefully the FBI building right behind me blocks some of the storm lol.

Stay safe, everyone.
I know we get used to hurricanes in Florida, but this track looks bad.

I weaseled out since we live a half mile from beach and have huge oaks over and surrounding our house. Out in Middleburg now and it's very tame here. Got a free shower and cloths washing while walking the dogs a couple of hours ago. Not looking forward to going back to St. Augustine for clean up tomorrow if they let us back on the island. Hope you all have safe day.

Neighbor sent me a pick of the water within a couple inches of my door, then a tree fell and they bugged out too. Hoping water is on before I head back with squeegee in the morning..hoping not too bad... kayak is probably bobbing along in the garage
