Night Fishing

Post by gumby » Mon Jul 11, 2016 7:56 am

Thinking I might try some night fishing tomorrow night since its really too dang hot for me outside during the day.

Looking for pointers and/or anyone who wishes to go.

Thanks!

what area were you looking at fishing? I might be able to swing going. only advice is to be as visible as possible on the water at night. the brighter the lights the better.

My first thought was Palm Valley which would be closest to where i live and I have read that the night fishing is pretty good there, but I'm open to anywhere.

I have a headlamp and will be making a Light pole this evening with a 360deg light of some kind to stick on the back of my kayak.

This time of year it can be good, but depending on the breeze, sometimes the bugs will eat you alive and all the bug spray in the wold doesn't help me. I like going when there is a slight on shore breeze to keep them down. Unfortunately, I work til 11 six nights a week for summer so rarely get out unless I go on a Sunday evening. I like the bridges and dock lights when I do go.
