Re: FG Knot
This is my favorite knot to link braid and mono together.

Re: FG Knot
I have been using it after seeing the video on saltstrong on an easier way of tying it. It is easier for me to tie if I loop a hook on the braid and use it as an anchor point, then lean the rod for tension as it is free standing. That way I can concentrate on the leader held further from me so I can see it. (Yes an AARP card might be needed for this method
)
It is very thin and goes through the guides well. Still new to it and if it is windy on the yak, I default to a yukatan or alberto as I don't have to think on those. I still look at it thinking this can't hold, but it really does.

Re: FG Knot
I've had decent success with this knot. I switched to it after growing frustrated with the double uni's catching in the guides. So far no knot failures, and it's somewhat easy to tie. I'm still a little skeptical of this knot and everytime I hook a fish I'm expecting the line to break. Happy to report it hasn't happened, though.
