Just started breaking in the motor on my brand new Solo and this thing is definitely going to open some new doors on my fishing! I haven't even gone above half throttle and it is already a blast!

Just don't get crazy on the corners or you might have more than a blast. They are fun and you get some real weird stares from other boats.

One bad thing about owning a Solo..... I can't launch or load at a boat ramp without spending 20 minutes showing the Solo Skiff. In fact, last week a guy came over and spent time looking at it. Saw him later that week and he told me he had bought one at SZ. Was waiting for it to come in.

Yup. I got home the other day and a Naders guy was in my cul de sac. I was on the phone for about 10 minutes while i sat in the truck. I got out and he did also. Talked for an hour or so about the solo. I fished with jeffmaron the other day and towed him all over clapboard. Wind got the best of us. Sure was nice having the engine!!

Do you guys tow using the grab bar on the back? Just want to be sure it is solid enough...I don't plan to tow often but it will be good to know when I do.

I was stopped for a few minutes the very first time I launched mine! They sure do get a lot of attention!

I used the grab bar, im sure i would be advised against it. However im towing at just a hair above idle speed so im sure its ok. Its usually slow enough that the kayak im towing will pull ahead occasionally.

One thing I have noticed about the Solo Skiffs, is that the posts talking about how wonderful they are, outnumber the posts about ACTUALLY CATCHING SOME FISH by about a thousand to one.

The reason for the FB page is to keep our comments to ourselves and not bother the kayak purist.

They are so much fun to drive around and explore new areas, sometimes we forget to fish. I think you are safe towing with the bar, it certainly supports picking the boat up on land with the motor on for hauling it up into the truck bed.
