you know i made one, but they did not last long, i bought the last two dozen at leaders and sinkers then a third dozen art amelia bait and tackle whoch were larger, bought them by maybe 8am, by 11am or so, they were mostly

two many shrimp ? water to hot ? mix of larger and smaller shrimp ?

what do you think, made exact same rig as yours

Nice meeting you as well, Billy. Glad you stopped by to chat. When I do bring along bait, I usually just carry a dozen or so. For live shrimp, try keeping a small frozen bottle of water in the cooler to keep 'em frisky. The summertime heat can really make it a challenge to keep the shrimp kickin' for extended periods, as warm water can't hold as much O2 as cooler water. Or.... switch to mud minnows; they are hardier than the shrimp. The diehard bait chunkers here most likely have some other tips and will likely chime in. I typically fish bait as a passive backup and like to throw artificials with another rod.

I had a soft side cooler that I stuck a plastic ice cream bin in and had the thing to go between the cooler and Tupperware to let the air pass through. I cant remember what it is called. Anyways, Here it is. Its good for a dozen or so shrimp.

dropshot,
My post took a minute to come onto your thread. I made a new post to throw mine out there. Sorry for the hijack of the thread or the repost.
