ICW Low Tide First Spring Report

Went out Saturday and Sunday at mid outgoing tide. Went into side creeks and mud flats.
Used Creme shad pearl white jig. Med size.
Saturday Weather was slightly breezy out of the East and clear to partly cloudy in the west.
Temps were very comfortable around mid 70's and low humidity
Stayed until dead low and got skunked. Did get a few pickups/bites that were very subtle and probably were small flounder.
Got swirled on my bait by what looked to be a slot red that was right up against a mud bank.
Lots of mullet activity. Almost no bait being crashed.

Sunday - a bit cloudier and breezier. Out of the East
Worked the same areas and hooked a keeper flounder. It had just crashed some bait right up against the bank. I tossed the jig at the last swirl and hooked up.
Worked further south uptide and saw lots of bait but no luck. Came back down tide towards a major intersection off the main ICW and settled in to work the banks and fan cast the holes. Hooked up with another keeper flounder!
Started to work the Mirrodine casting up tide and working it out with the tidal flow. Hooked up with a sub slot red! Nice color and spots. Let him go.
Tide bottomed out and slacked.
Bait activity had picked up and up the creek something smashed bait out of the water!
I waited a bit and saw the bait being chased a bit closer and closer to my position. I started fan casting the Mirrodine, working it medium speed. Two to 3 twitches and pause etc. Cast mid creek and sped up my retrieve a notch and Hooked Up with a keeper Trout! Nice 17.5 inch and very fat!
Called it a day with the Slam!
