Got out on the water Saturday before the storms arrived. Decent bite and a variety of fish. I caught six Reds, several Black Drum, a couple good size Croakers, and a bunch of small and annoying Sheepsheads. Lost two big fish on the Skitterwalk. Put too much pressure on them trying to keep them out of the grass and pulled the hooks. Got chased off the water early by the storms, but went home with some fish in the cooler.

Mudfish aka Jim....Nice way to start off the month of March....and it sure "came in like a lion" for you!!

Good pix of your supper too....nice sizes on that Black drum, redfish and the croaker and NOT so nice on the big fish/mammal...looks like either a porpoise or maybe a shark!!
Thanks for the report and pix.....John

Thanks John and Fishinguy21 !

John,
That was a VERY LARGE Porpoise in a very shallow and narrow creek with near zero visibility. Pretty amazing that they will venture that far inland.

Fishinguy21,
If you've been losing bait, but not feeling a bite, you've probably found the Black Drum. They can have a very subtle bite. I always keep my rod in my hands and I watch my line for twitches.
