With Hunting season over figured I’d drag the yak out before it gets hot, got out at noon on Friday and fished the back ends of a few creeks with no success figured I’d try a few deeper holes I knew well found them there caught a total of 10 between 18-22 and lost 3, 2 spit the hook beside the kayak and the third broke off around some structure when the tide turned they started feeding pretty well in skinny water phone died on Friday didn’t get decent pics.

Went out Sunday got on the water at about 1:00 PM with a charged phone day started slow again spotted a dead dolphin looked like a young one about 4 ft long and it looked healthy so I assume a boater hit him, also snagged a skull I couldn’t identify for the life of me I THINK it might be the upper skull on a red snapper but not sure really, anyone know?

As far as the fish they werent in the backs of creeks but the deep holes produced fish again After losing one on bottom structure Friday I traded my line up to 50 lb braid and pinned my drags for this trip worked great and didn’t lose a fish ended with 12 between 18 and 21 and one under slot red.

I usually leave my caught red in the net for a few minutes hanging over my yak in the water to let them recover before release (I hate releasing tired fish) but the net got crowded when I hooked 3 fish in three consecutive casts. Not a common problem.

Photos are good! And a good report, this is not the whole catch that turned out? In the pits, the nibble of a good fish doesn’t always turn out to find a hole and get there! I still can not reach the hands to buy an echo sounder!
