I don't have a boat (my ex took everything) so I'm hoofing it. I'm looking for a spot that is pretty reliable so his 11 year old attention span isn't pushed to the test with no bites. We tried Nassau sound bridge last week, but not a bite. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Surf fishing is pretty good right now. You don't need long surf rods. There are plenty of fish in the trough between the shore and the sand bar. Use pieces of shrimp on a dropper rig and you will catch fish.
