I fished with a friend from work on Saturday. We launched around 8:00 AM during high tide. It was a little breezy and the water temp was very cool. We were using mostly Gulps and fresh dead shrimp, and spent most of our time fishing a deep bend with a shell bottom. We each caught a variety and a lot of fish. It was a busy day of catching.

I caught Reds, Trout, Flounder (small Slam), Black Drum, Croakers, Ladyfish, and over a dozen Sheepshead with a few keeper Sheepsheads.

Another GREAT day of fishing AND CATCHING for you, Jim!!! WTG!!

Do I remember that place you were at from a famous trip that 5 of us did about 5 years ago, and we caught over 120 black drum all together...???
It was a brisk day in February and it was Joe/GA's BD and he was sick as a dog...but he hung in there and caught his share!! :salute: :salute:

Anyway, CONGRATS again on your fine day.....guessing that some sheepies went home for supper with you!!!
Thx....John

PS...That first picture of the redfish shows what they look should look like...it's a beauty!!!

Thanks, John!

This was a different spot than where we caught all those Black Drum. That was an awesome day considering most of them were slots! I'll pm you.
Saturday, we brought home a variety of fish for the grill :smoke:

Yes, that Red sure had a lot of color. The Reds we caught surf fishing a few weeks ago were practically silver and white.
