The water in our local inshore creeks is cooling down and the bite is heating up!

I had a good day on Sunday, catching at least a dozen Black Drum, many of them in the slot, a few Reds, a bunch of small Sheepshead, one Trout, and jumped a Ladyfish.

The Black Drum were scattered. I was fishing for them using small pieces of fresh dead shrimp on a dropper rig. I worked my way up and down the creek, fishing the submerged oysters and shell bottom areas, catching a handful of Black Drum at each spot.

The small Sheepshead were everywhere and were a real nuisance, as were the Catfish.

The best bite occurred about midway through the rising tide and lasted a few hours. Before and after that time the bite was spotty.

Mudfish.....looks like ANOTHER GREAT DAY for you!!!
Guessing a couple of fish went home for a swim in Lake Crisco....which ones??
Thanks for all the info and pix......John

PS: Seems like a lot of people get black drum and sheepshead confused when they ID them and you pix show the difference easily!!
Besides the teeth, which is an easy way to ID them, another is to look at the dorsal fin or fins:
Sheepshead is ONE word and they have ONE dorsal fin.
Black Drum is TWO words and they have TWO separate dorsal fins.
Thanks for the pix....John
