We did 2 day trip to Cherokee and had fun with some nymphing and dry action. Water was low so fishing was somehow slow but we had fun throwing flies to 20 inch rainbows. It was catch and release section and these buggers were smart :-)ImageImageImageImage

shallowrunner123.....Thanks for sharing what "Fall" looks like right now in NC....my daughter and family are in Charlotte and have a lady friend close to Burlington/Elon area....

Still a good bit of GREEN on those trees...another cold snap and cold rain and they will change quickly!!

Thanks for sharing. Sounds like you had a fun trip. I was born up in the Blue Ridge mountains not to far east of Cherokee. I am hoping to make a trip up that way in the spring. There are lots of little creeks that are great for chucking fluff for trout.
