After swearing off Gulp several years ago, I find myself drifting back to this highly effective bait. Several years ago Gulp stated that you should not put "used" bait back into the gulp juice. I have also seen that a gulp bait will lose its effectiveness/scent after 30 mins or so and will change it out with a fresh bait.

I have seen where they now have a Gulp revitalizer which indicates you can restore/use Gulp baits. I usually keep "fresh" Gulp products in their plastic bags. However, once they are used I like to put them into a container of Gulp juice. You can now buy the juice without purchasing the actual baits.

Has anyone had any experience of mixing colors of baits into one container. Do you see color bleeding? (i.e. white shrimp/green jerk bait colors turning the white to green?

Any comments regarding your experience would be appreciated.

I got a plano liquid tight container, and dumped all my gulps in it. No bleeding. Different types, colors etc...no problems. I put old ones back in the container, as I use the pieces to catch pinfish/bait.
When I have a new pack I use it fresh....but when I get home, ill rotate out what's left with old ones in the container.
I have a couple of gulp buckets at home and evry once in a while I will 'recharge' the container with juice. I don't fill it full like the store bought ones have it cause its too much of a mess. I have observed no difference in performance with a thick coating of liquid as opposed to a bath of it.
Any situation where I would 'buy' bait...I use gulp. I will either use it or catch bait with it.

Id much rather be throwing a topwater or spoon though.....which is what I do about 80% of the time.

Hope that helps some.

I also use the Plano liquid boxes. You can ge a lot in there and I just store it in the hatch between my legs. If I have a few packets of new bait I will keep them in a zip lock until I get home where I transfer into the plano.

I'm not sure if all the gulp baits can recharge. I thought it was just the gulp alive. But I might be completely wrong. Anyway I also throw all the old bait back into the juice and there is no problem.

I always keep an "alive" tub to get new scent on my baits and have always kept used in it as well. I can't recall what show I was watching but they did one on gulp. The main feature was that you could store and swap baits out as needed in the tubs.

Im with Jobu, I take the gulp shrimp from the original package and will add them to my alive bucket. I have multiple colors and sizes and have no problem with bleeding.

I'd rather use DOA :smoke:

I mix mine together as well without issue. If you find a 12 step program to get off the Gulps let me know. That stuff does catch the fish though.

We use one of those containers that have a blue rubber seal and snap shut (walmart) no leaks and just dump news ones in. Been in the backpack part of my sons kayak seat for 3 years and has all different colors and shapes and works great no color transfer. Liquid is alot darker but doesnt seem to affect the usefullness of the bait.
