Made another trip to White Shell today, 4-9 am, just way too much action from those surprisingly fun ladyfish. Finished with 8 of the ladies and many more hits and misses and also pulled in an unexpected flounder, 17 inches. I was beached on a gravel bar near the seawall at the point, walking around and getting a better view of the layout of the oyster beds. Saw some bait being chased in less than a foot of water and managed to hook up with the flounder. Sad part of the day was while fighting one of the ladyfish, my UL rod snapped in half. It was just my second trip with it since I had a couple broken guides repaired by Strike Zone. I'm going to Chicopit Bay tomorrow morning and I'll have to resort to using my baitcaster, which always feels like I'm one lazy cast away from a bird's nest.

Nice flatty Don, I have not fished there in over a year but have been fishing that bay since I was a child. We used to sain that area near to the road in the mid to late 70,s. On a full moon we would fill three large coolers on a good night, then on the next day would have a big fish fry for the locals and neighbors. Thanks for the report, one last thing, you keep some strange hours my friend....as do I, C.

Nice flounder dinner there. Sorry about the rod :( , but lord knows over the years I busted some nice ones myself. Hopefully your baitcaster will behave tomorrow.
