Just figured Id throw out a little report for some gigging I did with a buddy last night. The boat we use is currently under repair so we decided to walk a few spots. Came home with 2 keepers.

Saw probably 5 or 6 undersize fish and a couple babys. Got some pictures and videos for fun ahah.

Water was a little dirtier than we would like and the wind wasnt as calm as it was supposed to be..but thats no shocker.

haha nice video....flounder gigging 101 step one: gig flounder. step two: determine legality of gigged flounder.
seriously though, that looks cool...never gigged before, but i would love to try it sometime.

after having to pass up on a handfull of small fish. the self reassurance was much needed

but I wont even think about gigging a fish unless im 100% positive its a legal fish.

I was gigging flounder once on the southern shore of The St. Johns, I think it was on bucks island. Got the scare of my life. I was all into the gigging process and it was quite. I looked up towards the north and it appeared that the whole northern shore was moving. Or was it me moving. I gotta be careful not to fall in here.

I was a ship passing by that I had not heard!

Kewl! I've never gigged, but often wondered if I could do it from my yak.

Ive heard of people gigging from a yak..If it were me. Id use the yak to get to places that I couldnt walk from land. Then get out and walk while gigging and just tow the yak behind me. I would like a bit more of a stable platform to gig from IMO.

Yeah. Probably wouldn't want to dump from a yak with a gig in my hand!
