I've been itchin to hunt down some bull reds from a yak since I moved to Jacksonville.

I was wondering if anyone could point me to some yak accessible spots that I might have some luck at. I've wondered if the deep channel between east and west chicopet would hold any bulls? I have seen folks catching them just beyond that by the submerged jetties. I'm contemplating a run out there but I know the current gets pretty wild.

If anyone can give me any suggestions, tips, pointers, ect it would be much appreciated :thumbleft:

Thanks guys!

Not sure, but you dont want to be out in the jetties in a yak. That where they be i think.

Go to Roger Bump's web site or Native Kayak's web site and watch him catch a 40 inch red with a 20 minute fight under the Dame's Piont bridge. Or better yet, CHARTER HIM!!!! It's worth it. All he has to do, is show you ONCE and you'll be on bull reds forever. They didn't kick him off every tournament because he sucks at fishing. They did it because "THEY" wanted someone else to win. There is none better .... that are ALSO willing to put you on the fish too. You can go under the bridge on your own and spend alot of time figuring it out or you can pay Roger ONCE and WALLA ...... Big ones!!!! Good luck either way.

Anyone have a ball park price that he charges? I have often thought about getting a guide just for the learning expirence of it. Don't mean to jack the thread.
