I am actually going tomorrow if you want to go? Hex from on here is going with me. Would love to have ya. If not, its all good.

I got rained out of fishing yesterday and golf today... bummer. I'm running out of movies to watch. I definitely prefer the rain over the smoke though. I just wish it would rain during the week and be clear on the weekends. I wonder how much rain we've had in the last few weeks.

Gotta work the 9-5 Monday - Friday. I can usually work in time on the weekends. We will get together soon enough!

Played one of my best 9 holes in long time. Rain kept me from finishing. Might have been a good thing as I'm sure I would have screwed up the back 9 :smoke:

Kayaking was about the only way to travel in Pensacola. I believe they got around 15 inches yesterday.

No, it will never end, so you have to fish around it. This was Guana Lake yesterday at about 2:30 pm., I raced this t-storm back to the launch, even with my 70# tm set on full throttle, an open golf umbrella and a 20 knt south wind to my back, I nearly lost the race.

dry, C.

It's deep after all of this rain, 2'-3' up the ramp. I should have fished the flats yesterday but was rigged for a different approach and did not feel like retying lures.

The trout are frenzy feeding, c.

Not only is the water level high right now but I just read, the powers that be has to decided to raise the water level another foot over the summer. I really have no idea why they would do that but it will open the door for larger boats with bigger motors to run in the lake.
It will also flood much of the shallows and backwater that is currently inaccessable. If anyone can add to this, please do, C.

What worries me about the water levels coming up so fast is that it will cover up what little grass has started growing in there. Hopefully it wont kill all the new growth!!! I'd personally like to see the cattails have a chance to start coming back. I'm a duck hunter and miss having all the cover out there to hide in!!! I liked the brackish state that was present 3 years ago with most of the southern portions of the lake holding the majority of the trout and the northern end of the lake containing the sweet water that the reds could still enjoy.

It was a much prettier place when it was marshy on the upper end!! Now all the vegetation has been burnt and the extreme northern end is just all open water with no grass channels and islands. All the dead brown everywhere just looks terrible!!
