Sugar spice glow 3" gulp shrimp, or the rootbeer with chartreuse tail has been hot lately. Just got a topwater recently so I'm hoping to get good with that too.

I will give you my top 3 to choose from:
- Saltwater Assasin paddle tails in bright white and chicken on a chain colors...best action out there.
- Gulp 4" Swimming Mullet curly tails in pearl white or blue sapphire
- DOA shrimp 1/4 oz in Glow white or the holographic colors with glitter for sunny days

I don't think you can go wrong with any of these and I tend to use them for different applications. I hope this helps. Good luck.

as you can see, it's pretty much personal preference. Mine, anything with some action that catches fish that day, usually in the paddle tail variety. Though I've been considering trying some bass tube baits just for the heck of it. I do like the 3X plastics since they don't get chewed up as easily.

Mann's Hard Head Swim Shad. Pearl/black
Sebile Soft Magic Swimmer. Shiner
There is no way to fish these two wrong.
Either of these are Snook, Trout, Redfish, Tarpon and LM Bass killers.
I have one of each Texas rigged on rods all summer.

The Sebile Magic Swimmer just may be the best dock light lure I have ever used.

On my fly rod, I have a solid black or solid white Deceiver or Silicone Mullet most of the time.

Exude RT Slug

For reds I like their funky chicken (pink/green) and for trout a white/glitter one that I can't remember the name of. They work great on a 4/0 or 5/0 worm hook and put out just enough scent to draw strikes but not too much to get ate up by trash fish.

I was wondering if you use the grubs for fresh as well as salt?
