Caught him on a 7.5" yum junebug ribbon tail worm. Pic came out really small, took it on iPhone. Didn't have a scale but I was guessing it to be around 8lbs. Let it go after a couple pics. They were still on beds.

White springs (north of lake city). It was a couple weeks ago. Some of them had already moved off the beds, but there were still quite a few we saw on beds, so didn't want to take a chance just in case this 1 was still on a bed.

It's a private lake off of woodpecker rout. There's some pretty good fishing in white springs. Few of the old pcs lakes have been made public (and there no motor zones) with public ramps. Next time your in the area might be worth checking out. 2 off the top of my head are eagle lake (closer to Jasper), and Lang lake. Have done pretty good in both of those lakes in the past. Eagle lake also has stripper bass.

Yeah, that was my dad. Fishing was a little slow this fall and winter on the west coast. Think it was the warm winter we had. Might need to get over to east coast. Looks like you guys have been doing good over there.
