Had a awesome time in the surf on Sunday...... thanks to an invite by my good friend Rich. Just a perfect morning for sight fishing out there. Saw a few Reds, some black drum and way too many sharks to count. Thanks for the great pics Rich :D .

Good looking fish! Wife and I were there Saturday. Saw a few reds, but no luck. We did find a ton of big lady fish to keep us entertained.

That looks awesome guys! I've never gotten out in the surf before, would you say the stripping basket is essential for this kind of fly fishing?

Both Rich and I are from the north where stipping baskets are much more common in the surf than down here. I wouldn't fish the surf without one.....it makes line management and quick casts much easier as well as adding considerable distance when shooting line. That being said I know several advanced fly anglers that do quite well without the basket.

This is the coolest thing I've seen in a while. Great pics and incredible to sight fish reds in the home surf on fly!

:beg: Not begging...paying homage! Well done.
