If you want to stay local I would was to Julington Creek. I used to launch at Clarks Fish Camp all the time to bass fish. Blacks Creek is also an option but the fishing was always terrible to me. Other than that you'd have to drive south. Kenwood Ramp at Rodman Reservoir is a nice place to launch and has fish very close by.

I live in green cove and fish the river often, not so much the lake but I love to catch bluegill in the river. Always looking for a fishing partner

I fish the lake often if you put in the boat ramp on lakeshore drive off 220 there is a cove to the right with good bass fishing. You can fish anywhere in there and caught bass, reds, trout, bream, all kids of fresh and salt. Reds like rattle traps. Bass like any soft plastic or rapala.

As stated before... Rodman is a great place if you want to bass fish and it has huge crappie in it. The river is tough fishing. Julington is always a good bet. Lots of the tournament guys go there for the Whitey's tournament. Best colors for soft plastics are watermelon red, june bug, and black in either a zoom trick worm, or zoom ultravibe speed worm. Texas rigged with a light bullet weight, or caralina rigged. Fish grass in the am with topwater and docks in the heat. Hope this helps! Good luck!
