Gabbert or Henne?

Looks like the jags finally picked up a decent receiving corp, and they had a defense last year, and MJD is still a football god. The only big issue I still see is at QB, and I know I am going to get pounded for saying this, but I tihnk it was a HUGE mistake for the jags not pushing harder somehow for Tebow. Yeah I know he said he wanted to go to the Jets, but I think he still would have made a better Jag.

Either way, I think the jags are coming out of the desert this year, and will be a threat for their division. If not, then: :banghead:

Gabbert will get every opprotunity to be the starter though the camps, preseason and throught the first couple of games i'm sure. but if the jags go into the bey week with a record of 1-4 or 2-3 it will be Henne time for sure. as it should be. i'm not going to burry Gabbert just yet.
But the hole is definately dug.

i'll be there loosing my voice on sundays either way.

well, we are 2 pre-season games in and i've been very happy with what i have seen from Gabbert's progress and the Jones-Drew-less running game. Blackmon looks better in 1 half of 1 pre-season game than any jaguar reciever has looked in years. i hope the arrow is really pointing up and that this isn't a pre-season majic show.

Starting to get my hopes up but I have been disappointed before :cry:

Wouldn't mind seeing the Jag's keep MJD out for the season. They should only not pay him but should start applying fines for not showing. He may be a great running back but a contract is a contract :salute:

agree most definatly on the mjd issue. he's locked up for 2 years and the possibility of the franchise tag for a third.
he's really going to get pissed if Jennings shines AND gets a new contract.

It a business people, look at it this way. Example:MJD doesn't hold out gets hurt in preaseason and never gets back to where he was on 2011. Khan and Smith don't like it that he got hurt and no production so they cut him. Why do they cut him? So that he doesn't get all the money in his contract. Who is going to stand behind MJD? No one will.

They did it to David Gerard they will do it to anyone. NFL is a you don't produce you get cut "who cares about your contract?" You produce become an elite player "Hey now Mr. Elite, you have to honor your contract!"

That is a bunch of BS, the same way they cut players to not pay them, the same way they should reward players for going to that Elite status.

MJD hold out till you get your money F*** em. No one is going to take care of you but yourself, seen it in the NFL and other sports. Look at Peyton, Farve, Meriman, Mario Williams, Gerard, Benson, Owens, Moss list goes on.

Justin Blackmon will be next to hold out.

Trade him. It's about time an owner held a player to his commitment in writing. MJD is the difference btwn a team that wins 5 games and a team that wins 4 games.

Garrard was never worth all the money up front he got either, but at least he honored his contracts.

You never see the kind of personnel mismanagement the Jaguars have practiced for years from winning franchises like New England. Hopefully Khan will figure it out and clean house.

I agree Mike, Trade him. He only has a few good years left in his career. Another team would love to have him and would be willing to give the Jags future draft choices and solid personnel.

I am more and more respecting Khan. Think he is one tough business man. You can only push him so far.

Five games into the season and the question remains unanswered. 1-4 and ofer at home, the Bears game was beyond the beyonds.
