Resembles blood from wounded baitfish. I know they're colorblind but that's my story and I'm stickin to it!

I've seen 4 or 5 different colors.

Any circle hook will work.

AND!! color really doesnt matter.
Red is suppose to be the color that disappears the quickest in the light spectrum in water

I'm looking to put the least amount of stress on the fish.

Surf or fast moving water the offset circle hooks worked well. In slack water I was deep hooking too many fish so I did a lot of looking for a better hook. Now I only use Non offset circle hooks with at least a 90 degree angle from hook point to shaft such as (Mustad tournament approved). My old favorite was (Tru Turn saltwater J hook) I haven’t been able to find them in the past few years. I don’t believe color matters. YMMV :fishin:

I never tried colored hooks. Been using Owner Hooks for a long time. Just the standard bronze color.
