Does anyone know if there is a place to launch a kayak on the eastside of Mill Cove? I use to fish this area with my boat, but now I only have a kayak. I know of Fulton road, but that seems like a long paddle on the chart. Thanks for any help.

If you catch the tides right the paddle there really isnt that bad. Troll on your way there and pick up a few trout to make the paddle more fun.

Wouldn't saying nothing at all on this thread have accomplished the same thing? Other forums that way ----->

Wow! I wasn't asking for someones "HONEYHOLE". I will be sure not to ask where the nearest gas station is either. I guess I will do it the "Old Fashion" way.

Thanks for the info snookslayer.

Sorry randy. Its not always like this. A few low lives pop up here and there. The best launch i know of for where you want to go is Fulton. The other launches out there are mostly private ones that belong to neighboring developments. The city really needs to open some new ones out there.

Isn't this forum to help and share information?? If you think this forum has a tradition of making childish statements like that, then maybe you should read it some more. I don't see comments like this on here.

I will have to somewhat agree with keeping secrets. There has been people that ask "Where are the fish biting?" And in response they get "From Mayport to The Buckman Bridge!" Or post pictures with the whole background blacked out; another one that I have come to love is the fishing report "Caught bunch of fish" but not telling you where. Not saying that's what they say exactly but don't even say what body of water they fished. Not trying to start anything here because sounds like Sheldon already did but that is the general consensus here.

Wildyaks you are completely correct. Sheriff Plankton is living up to his evil name. Don't let him spin you up. He has as many friends here as Plankton has in Bikini Bottom :pukeleft:

As far as I know there are no public launches in the east side of the cove and I am in a position to know. There are some accesses on private property and in a gated community if you know someone there. From Lonnie Wurn it is 2 miles to the other side. If you paddle it without stopping that's a whole 30-40min.

Another alternative is to launch on the other side of the river and paddle in the north entrance to the east side if you have your big boy pants on that day but the paddle is still almost as long as from Lonnie Wurn and more challenging because of crossing the river.

Although the east side has its spots it's not some amazing promised land with honey holes chock full of fish either. Also the original poster wasn't asking for secrets, he used to fish the east in his boat as his first post stated.

The role of this site is not about how secretive you can be and is to share information. While we do not share 'X marks the spot' coordinates for specific fishing spots general fishing areas or public launches are freely available here for discussion. If you act like a jerk we WILL show you the door. OTOH if you don't like the info or banter you find here because it is out of line please let the moderators know and it will be handled.
