Its all good bro, don't really think you need to defend yourself after last weekends performance. Look, I'm all about a good discussion even when opinions are involved. As long as its productive its great way to get a bunch of points of view to process and put to it use to do what we all hope to do which is catch more fish whether you keep them or not. The hijacking wasn't an issue until it started getting personal, then I really just wanted the negativity off of what was meant to be a positive exciting post. Looking back at where it went south I have a feeling it may have been a result of pot stirring, I've noticed some people get enjoyment out of that on here. If thats the case congrats, it worked. All I can hope is that it was stirred with the casting hand, Classic is only a few weeks away!

That's right! Wait...i can't compete with my 18' Key West kayak... I actually considered breaking out one of our 3 useless OK Capers to compete in the classic with but, i really don't have the equipment on them that i did on my fishing yaks. I plan to come see the weigh in nonetheless :D Didn't realize the captains bags were for the first 300 or so either  I should have read Mikes earlier post about it. Fail on my part.

Thanks Wali! It was a blast, the shuttles def the way to. I can't imagine paddling into the wind when your are pretty much fighting some current the whole time regardless. Gotta say my back thanks you for the seat, much appreciated!

Jon Ill be sure to put you on the invite list, we'll get a small army out there and find em.

Do it Steve! Your poor boat needs a weekend off haha.

This is the final post on this topic. Using too light of a line as a 'challenge of your angling skills' is one thing. It also makes the fish work much harder and is worse for them if you intend to release them. There is no question that getting them in as quickly as possible is the best for promoting a healthy release.

As for you geniuses that think it is cool to catch a 15lb fish on 2lb test that you intend to release - or think that 15lb test is enough for a 110lb tarpon or a bull red - well you are just too smart for the rest of us. I'm sure somewhere there is a website (but not here) that thinks that is the coolest thing EVER.

Finally the title of this topic was changed because Backwater Bound's original title was inappropriate.
