Mrs. SUPFisher and I fished low tide at Clapboard. She caught her first fish EVER on a fly rod! When she first hooked it, she thought it was a small fish. Ten minutes later she landed what turned out to be a nice red. A big thanks to the folks at Black Fly and Rich Santos for teaching her how to cast and setting her up with a nice fly rod. Other than that we picked up a few seatrout and ladyfish. Hopefully she doesn't expect this every time.

Congrats on the nice catch!!! You had me beat. I spent the morning out there as well with only a few dink trout and a couple of flounder to show for it. I never even saw a red this morning!!

Very Nice! I'll bet she's hooked now. How do you guys like those Yolo yaks? Had you tried glass or epoxy boards first?

I have paddled a few others, but haven't fished off of another board. We got the YOLOYak's b/c of the price and durability. They are super stable. They are so stable that we sometimes take the dog with us. We have bashed them into oyster beds and they are still fine. Although they are heavier and slower compared to epoxy/glass boards, they are pretty good for exploring the creeks. I would love to try a Bote or new fishing YOLO, but the price is a deterrent. We are moving to Hawaii in August, so I will probably sell these before I leave.

Ryan!! That is SUPER!! I'm so glad to hear Keri hooked up! She must be pretty excited about it! I hope the lesson we did yesterday was a key factor.. ;) We did talk a lot about how to hook and play a Red! I remembered her saying that she could not image how to do that. Well! Now she knows! What and accomplishment for her. A Big congratulations to her! :-B Now she's going to bug you all the time!!! :D Awesome!

My wife and i fish off of an "emotion Traverse" paddle board. We even bought "larry chairs" for them for the occasional sit down. They sell them at Dicks under the Coleman brand for $250. I like the Yolo Yaks though. http://www.emotionkayaks.com/sup/traverse/
