I need suggestions on how to leash this baby up. I want about a 6 ft length leash that I can put an aluminum D ring on for quick release from anchor trolley.

I usually put mine thru the scuppers. Why don't you just use a paddle leash on it?

I made a paddle leash out of 1/8" paracord. I tied uni knot to the paddle and to a carabiner. You could do the same for your sop.
