Sorry Sure Catch but I'm sticking to Fiberglass if I ever buy new for now as every graphite pole I've ever owned has slipped it's way into the grave yard one accident at a time for various reasons.
I have gone though dozens of brand names in my past ventures and the worst way of losing one is to over rate the line test limits printed on the pole.
But getting into the 20 to 30lb. test line ratings you then lose the feel at the tip too! So I would option to less action at the tip as well to compensate on my choice in any new rods.
I do like using one graphite as my Casting Rod loving that lighter weight, but the two in the back as my trolling rods are Ugly Sticks. Fiberglass Rods have had the longest life spans in my clumsy precarious life style of fishing.
I just broke an 8' graphite Shimano last week getting the hook/lure off an oyster bed very close to the Yak.

Broke it between the first eye and second eye of the rod just above the two piece coupling!

Got the lure back!
I have had to get mostly second hand or hand me down Rods anyway just to keep up with the Joneses, going fishing this way. LOL This $15.00 Rod lasted only 3 trips.
Maybe I'll see one of these Rods in a Pawn Shop or Thrift Store someday. I'll be sure to keep my eyes open for the brand name. Good info for someone wanting to be free of the Ugly Floating Foam!
