I bought a Nucanoe 10' from craigslist. If you want to know about nucanoe lookit up in youtube. Nucanoe accessories are VERY expensive for their worth and so I decided to custom make my own using some "PVC and 2 X 10" technology that worked real well. Here are my projects. With the pictures you can pretty much make out how everything was put together. Everything comes apart for roof top transport.

  • Build a kayak dolly that custom fits the nucanoe bottom depressions.
  • Build a kayak stand that can be adjusted to stand at various heights.
  • Build a seating platform that will use the existing 1/4 - 20 thread holes that nucanoe already comes with and put swivel seat ON
  • Hook up a trolling motor.

Took her out for a spin and floats and does everything very well!

Next part is to register the boat and take it to the creeks!!

Looks good Arun - you will need to take that 'electric paddle' off for the Classic though ;)

Nice! I might have to steal your adjustable stand idea.

I had a trolling motor on my Mohawk canoe. I didn't have a registration. The FWC stopped me once and informed me of the regulation. They only gave me a warning but they definately check for it.

Thanks Mike. Of course I'll be paddling during the classic :)

Sure. It works out real well.
Sorry about you getting a warning ticket. I'm going to get it registered now so I can fish during the weekend with it.

Can't tell from the photo but rear of kayak looks like it is sitting low in the rear. You might wish to consider moving the battery forward.

Really liked your cart design and just made one to fit my Ultimate 12. Good idea and cheap (Had wheels already from old lawn Fertilizer).
