Started out on the lake again this morning, tried to pick up some flounder at first light by the dam, and got cursed out by a guy fishing from shore whos accent sounded like he could have starred in jersey shore, (i was no where near his line, and he had 5 lines out across the entrance So no one else could fish if they wanted to!) So I went to the east side with not even a nibble all morning, so we started drifting the middle and picked up 2 small trout, one of them was my buddies first kayak fish! Then we decided to drag the boats over to the river side and I hooked on on a nice red that slipped away close to the boat, but got a nice keeper on the way in so we got one for the cooler! Great day on the water tho!

How about those spots on your fish! As for the guy on the shore, he must have been dropped on his head as a baby. Don't pay any attention to him.

Thanks! He was a beautiful fish and put on a show! Pulled the kayak around a bit, David was saying that's what happens when u catch a red out of that thing! I told him just wait till the big jacks come in Haha, I just built an 8'6" lamiglass, it cast those 1/4 oz doa's a mile, and it performed better than I could have imagined!

Nice catch.......I caught 14 trout, only 2 keepers at 16 and 19 but started my day off by FOUL hooking a 24" red in the pectoral fin........want to talk about a wild ride in the kayak. Was a blast.
