This was fun! We spent the better part of the day with our Emmrods in Cresent City. The first event for the 2012 Crappiethon tour was here for the second year in a row. A typical small town festival with good food (golden brown dep friend pollock) and good company. We had a blast! There were quite a few kayakers that came by our display. Hopefully they will check our the site here and join us. A number of them were recently retired folks who had just taken up kayak fishing and were looking for advice and new adventures.

I would of liked to have went but didn't know about it. I find the fishing rod interesting but because of how unusual it is I find it hard to spend much on it with out trying it first. Are there some good crappie holes around Jacksonville? Miss catching them up on lake Moultrie and Marion while stationed near Charleston SC while at a EOD unit. Nice striped bass and cat fish also.
