Been fishing out of Tarpon 140 all last year and would think of any other. It's been perfect.

I was just saying that they were "about the same price in the end" not that they are the same price. A person should be able to find a Revo for around $1700 whereas the Cuda is $1400. Throw in a good paddle and you are looking at $1500 or even more. I love my Cuda and i spent some time looking hard at the Revo so i'm not advocating one more than the other but when it comes down to a couple hundred bucks or less I equate them in the same price group.

Hey Tmdfam.....Thanks for stopping by Black Creek yesterday and doing demos on the Cuda and the Ride 135....know it was a close decision for you, but I think you will like your new Cuda very much, so "Get her slimed" today!!! Hopefully that has been done by now on this pretty day.....thanks again for your business!!

PS: Like Dreads said, the Hobie Revolution 13 (OR the new Revo 11) does not cost "close to" the price of the Cuda, and I will post the list prices and options that you get with those products later today if anyone wants to see a comparison!!

Awesome, but for some reason I don't see the pics of your new yak. :D ;)

Git yourself an anchor trolley and you are all set. I like to use this style since it comes with everything you need to install it and it seems to hold up quite well.

You guys sure are nitpickers. :P

Well maybe the price gap has opened up since I was looking at them then. When I was looking at possibly getting a Revolution they were on sale at our local Massey's for something like $1650 from what I recall. This price could reflect the fact that they were trying to make room for the new 2012 models in stock.

Now I'm ganna be nitpicky and point out that the price you have listed for the Cuda is MSRP without rudder or a paddle and the price you have listed for the Revo is MSRP for a 2012 Revo that comes with a rudder AND a paddle. So if you are buying a Cuda with a rudder, and lets be honest why wouldn't someone want the rudder, you are paying $1399. Then on top of that you are realistically spending anywhere between $100 to $300 for a decent paddle. I personally only went with the lower end paddle as I didn't have the money for a fancy carbon speed paddle but you could easily get talked into buying one like that at the yak shop. So what I'm trying to say is that you are looking at spending $1500 plus tax for the Cuda, which I think is money well spent.

Ok, time to go out and enjoy the sun. :D
