As for line, it depends on whats biting and what I'm fishing for. I carry 5 combos every trip. I choose from 3-1000's, 1-2000, 1-2500, 1-4500 and three baitcasters. My range of lines are 6# to 20#, all braids or fused line. I use fc leaders on everything, 10#to30#. My go to combo is a 2000 on a 7' whip, with 10# fireline and 12# fc fishing line(its real streachy) with a tw or ss hardbait.

I use five usually 3 in milk crate 1 in my lap and one in trolling rod holder. I have 6 rod holders on the kayak and 3 on my milk crate. I usually have a top water, a weedless, a subsurface like mirrodine, jig that I troll and fish bait on, and a fish finder on last one. reason for it sometimes they will be biting top water but missing so I throw the subsurface. Need to have stuff ready like if you see a tailing red in the grass need to have something weedless on.
