IS, I have to give you your due and proper, thats a fine trout.

As for line, it depends on whats biting and what I'm fishing for. I carry 5 combos every trip. I choose from 3-1000's, 1-2000, 1-2500, 1-4500 and three baitcasters. My range of lines are 6# to 20#, all braids or fused line. I use fc leaders on everything, 10#to30#. My go to combo is a 2000 on a 7' whip, with 10# fireline and 12# fc fishing line(its real streachy) with a tw or ss hardbait.

buying new line sucks, C.

Did I read this correctly...five combos!? How do you fit it all??

Cane pole with a white nike shoelace tied on the end. Friggin' Hobie was expensive.....

Penn 430ssg/Old beat up Shimano Bullwhip with a custom "pop out" eyelet with 8lb mono
Penn 450ssg/7ft Ugly Stick with 10lb mono
Penn Conquer 4000/Fenwick combo I won at the Classic 2 yrs ago with some 8lb mono

I usually throw on 18lb leader because I have had the same monster roll for about 2 years.

All my line is good ole' trilene.

I'm with you What, no matter which "flavor of the month" line I've tried I always go back to good old reliable mono.
The cost and aggrivation of the "hi-tech" stuff just ain't worth it.....Trilene or Ande for me.

I use five usually 3 in milk crate 1 in my lap and one in trolling rod holder. I have 6 rod holders on the kayak and 3 on my milk crate. I usually have a top water, a weedless, a subsurface like mirrodine, jig that I troll and fish bait on, and a fish finder on last one. reason for it sometimes they will be biting top water but missing so I throw the subsurface. Need to have stuff ready like if you see a tailing red in the grass need to have something weedless on.

Beast! I feel overwhelmed with anything more than two.

I fish out of a 16.5' canoe,I could easily carry 7 but that would be overkill. I load 5, a tw,a crankbait, a jighead, a cajunthunder and one with a circle hook. I don't always use all 5 but each combo is tweaked to what ever fish I am targeting. It also increases your versitility to change fishing methods without having to tie different baits thus increasing you fishing time. I don't have great success but do manage a fish from time to time, C.
