Fished St Augustine today. Plenty of Reds around right now. Caught at least 15, most were in the low to mid slot, 5 or 6 were decent size just below the slot, and two small rats. Also, caught one lower slot Trout and a Lady Fish. Most fish were caught on the bottom with live shrimp or a white/pink curly tail grub on a jig head, and a couple were caught with blue crab chunks. Mud minnows did not produce much today, neither did topwater lures or float rigs.

Also, once again the fishing gods dropped a mullet in my lap. As I was paddling across a flat, a decent size mullet jumped and landed in the yak, right between my legs. Slimed a bunch of stuff, but now I have cut bait for my next trip. Same thing happened to me several weeks ago.

Awesome weather today. Finally, no thunderstorms.

Nice fish and pics, the tree that hangs out over the water in the background of the first pic looks awfully formilliar. Thats an extreamly productive spot your fishing. Its where I recently caught some huge drum.

Hey Mudfish.....Thanks for the NICE Fishing Report and some neat pix too!!

Sounds like you stayed away from the Trash Fish Slam you have been having...really good not to have to mess with them....

Did Mr. Redfish and Mr. Trout get invited home for supper???
