Could be the end of rod leashes, maybe.

Intresting .. is it a one time use thing or does the ballon go back in place for reuse?

It looks like a one time use.

Ad states "anything under 2.2lbs".

$13.00 for "insurance" for an expensive set-up is worth it, if its under that weight limit...

my foam rod floats that I made from dollar store items work just as well and have no metal to corrode.

we used to sell these when i worked at boater's world and they are a one time use for sure. we set one off just to see what it was like and i think i would trust it with my keys but not my rod and reels. it didn't seem like they would be strong enough to stand up to a oyster either.

Everyone better read the specs before attaching your rod/reel. It clearly states the weight limit. Ain't gonna work on a rod and reel :salute:
