I was wondering if there is anywhere in Jacksonville that sells these coolers. I have seen some with the JAX Kayak Fishing logo on them. Can these only be ordered from their website? I would appreciate any info. Thanks.

You call the folks at PBK and tell them you want one with the JKF logo on it and they will send it to you.

I had heard Polar Bear was going to have a sale in mid-summer. Did anyone ever hear anything on that?

Thanks for the info. I think I will just order one from their website. I saw something on the internet about Target selling them, but have not been able to find them. I'm new to Jacksonville and was just wondering if they could be purchased locally. Thanks.

I ordered one two days ago and the only color they had was red. I chose to wait until they have the silver solar. If you tell them you want the JKF label, the 24 can model is $45.

No retail operations currently sell PB's. Company is expanding to retail operations but for now you need to order via internet. Inventory is low due to big demand. They will be back with full inventory at end of Aug. Call them and advise your with JKF and you will get special price.

Good choice of color. The Silver Solar definitely stays cooler than a darker color, and it's Scotch Guarded.

Very good product. Save your 2 liter soda bottles, fill them with water and freeze them. They'll stay frozen all day long in your Polar Bear.

Just pick 'em up online! You can probably get 20% off and free shipping on Amazon.

Since I consider all of you "family" here is the note I got from IslandSpeed's son-in-law earlier this month with their 2 for 1 sale

Dear Polar Bear Customer,

In appreciation of your continued support, we are running our 2 for 1 deal again this year. This offer is available to all existing customers and their friends & family. In addition to coolers, we have added a few new products under the Polar Bear brand that are also included in the 2 for 1 deal.

To order, just go to www.polarbearcoolers.com and fill your cart with everything you want. At Step 2 during checkout, type 2112 in the "Coupon" box and click "Continue". Your total charge will be cut in half to reflect the 2 for 1 deal. Or, give us a call at 888-438-7924. Coupon is good through the end of the year and while supplies last.

I have given many of these as gifts and the receivers end up ordering to give to others. Top quality and they do a wonderful job.

Is the one in the photo 48 pack? That seems like a pretty good size for a kayak. I need two and before I purchase, I'd appreciate any suggestions.

The one above (JYJ's photo) is a 24 pack. It fits perfectly in the back of a kayak. The 48 pack is monster size :D If it was loaded with ice/beer/chicken wings, it would probably sink you kayak :D :D

Hey mangotango....Like IS2K1 just said, they fit perfectly in the back of a yak....also....

I just noticed that you paddle a Tarpon 140, and I wanted to let you know I have a Tarpon 120, and the PBC 24 can size fits perfectly right behind my seat perpendicular to the direction of the yak. Behind it, I keep my flow thru bait bucket when I am paddling and I can reach the bait bucket easily over the PBC....
