Sorry I'm a little late on posting this.

Check out nebyaker.shutterfly.com for picks and a vid of some of the paddling action.
Memorial day weekend me and Laromala headed to Wetumpka AL and camped out at Coosa River Adventures overlooking the river with 3 other guys Chad, Dave, and Vince. Got up Saturday morning at 4:30ish and drove up to the Jordan Dam yaks and conoes in tow.
Suprisingly there were a few yak fishers already in the water. Obviously our sport has grown in other places then jacksonville. First batch of light rapids started wtih the Fly rod and caught a small pirch or brim and watched Dave work in to land a cod @ 20".
After Laromala had some technical difficulties

, we came up to the next group of rapids where the class 3 resides. There was a large boulder to anchor to and enjoyed the view. I saw some top water action in the calmer water behind the boulder and landed @12" spotted bass with a trout fly.
Rest of the day had little action and made it back to camp a bit after lunch. After that launched from the camp site and fished around the area and got the small sun fish.
Great place to fish, paddle, and camp the weather seemed like it was on the verg of twister a few times but never got more then a few drops. The fellas at Coosa River Adventures were awsome! The only sucky part was driving.
