Has a spectacular morning on the ICW (S of Beach) as my third cast landed my first YAK'ed oversized Red (28") and I was fortunate to follow it up with a 27" (no spots), 26", 6 - rats and a nice 18" flattie (and a Jack). Did not even make it 1/2 way to my intended spot, but who's complaining!

Great job on some very nice fish. That no spotter would be worth some money for the redfish round-up. Very neat catch indeed. WTG.

WOW, a "No Spot" is actually VERY rare! Glad you got a pic, you may never catch another!

Congrats on a SUPER day....nice pix too of those pretty dark reds!!

Like Roaddog said, that legal sized, no-spot redfish would have been worth some $$ in the Redfish Roundup....$500 actually!!!

There was a Professional Guide who caught a legal no spot red in the Roundup a few years ago....and threw it back since it had NO spots???? :pale:

Nice report!!

Awesome fish on an awesome fishing day. What were you throwing at them to get them to chew?

Thanks all! These were all caught with live shrimp and the big ones were on a 3/16 oz gold flake 2/0 jighead working the E ICW banks on incoming tide (3/4 the way to high). Lost several big ones a few days previous near the same spot on 12 lb test with no leader so this time out I beefed up to some stronger line and added some 30# mono and man what a difference that made! Still worked out to be a great fight but landed all that were hooked relatively quickly and it made the revival and release a bit easier.

Very Nice fish and hopefully the first of many. No spots pretty cool. Carry yourself a sharpie and you can fix that problem for him. All the other fish probably laugh at him and don't let him play in other redfish games!!!

I was out there as well on Saturday morning. We fished out of my jon boat, but passed you on our way back in. The fish were cooperating pretty well that morning. We ended up with 5 reds all between 20" and 25", one jack, and one 15" flounder. We broke off two big reds on braid so don't feel bad! The one we got to see looked to be around 15lbs or so. Braid doesn't like oysters!!!

Way to go!
You need to get you a Monster Pod camera mount for your yak for self-photos. I just got one and am still learning how to set it up properly but so far so good. The hardest part is reading the display on the camera when the sun is in full force.
Nice reds!
