Good story! My last post shows a Red and Trout combo too! My Trout had a long run time on the rod as well. Better to play the line than to rip out the lure on the weaker parts of a Trout's mouth. I thought mine to be a Red as well.

Great catch UTC, what a nice trout. Should have let them swim around a little while to see if they would of fetch you a flounder for the slam!! :D :)
